HaloTag is a self-labeling protein derived from the haloalkane dehalogenase DhaA from Rhodococcus rhodochrous. Its active site reacts with chloroalkane substrates to form an irreversible bond. The covalent linkage between the HaloTag ligand and HaloTag protein enables rapid isolation and purification. HaloTag PEG4 Coumarin Ligand is a cell permeable HaloTag fluorescent ligand and can be used to label intracellular proteins (353Ex/434Em after hydrolysis). Compared with regular HaloTag Ligand, this product contains a PEG4 linker instead of PEG2.
