Single isomer 6-FAM PEG3 alkyne. The water soluble 5-FAM PEG3 alkyne has a long PEG3 spacer that separates the dye carboxyfluorescein (commonly known as FAM) from the terminal acetylene group. The water-soluble PEG3 spacer should minimize the interaction between the dye and the biomolecule to be labeled. 5(6)-FAM PEG3 alkyne is an excellent azide-reactive fluorescent reagent for labeling alkyne-containing biological molecules through click chemistry.
