DiAc-6-FAM-DBCO can be used for fluorescent labeling through copper-free click chemistry reaction with azides (494Ex/526Em after hydrolysis). Fluorescein is one of the most popular green fluorescent reagents used for in situ labeling of peptides, proteins and nucleotides. Fluorescein has relatively high absorptivity, excellent fluorescence quantum yield, good water solubility, and an excitation maximum that closely matches the 488 nm spectral line of the argon-ion laser. DBCO has been widely used in click chemistry and reacts with azide without copper catalyst.
