HaloTag is a self-labeling protein derived from the haloalkane dehalogenase DhaA from Rhodococcus rhodochrous. Its active site reacts with chloroalkane substrates to form an irreversible bond. The covalent linkage between the HaloTag ligand and HaloTag protein enables rapid isolation and purification. HaloTag DOTA-tris(t-Bu) Ligand can be used to attach DOTA moiety to protein. DOTA has been used in many different diagnostic and therapeutic applications, such as MRI contrast agents, PET and SPECT imaging agents, and radiotherapeutic agents.
