HaloTag is a self-labeling protein derived from the haloalkane dehalogenase DhaA from Rhodococcus rhodochrous. Its active site reacts with chloroalkane substrates to form an irreversible bond. The covalent linkage between the HaloTag ligand and HaloTag protein enables rapid isolation and purification. CA-TMR is a HaloTag Ligand containg 6-tetramethylrhodamine dye (555Ex/585Em) and it forms a covalent bond with the HaloTag protein, ensuring stable labeling for long-term tracking.  The TMR component provides strong red fluorescence, enabling researchers to visualize and track the protein of interest in live cells or tissue using fluorescence microscopy or imaging systems.  CA-TMR has been used for tracking protein localization, protein-protein interactions, and live-cell imaging.
