SiR-Maleimide is a far-red fluorescent probe containg maleimide function group for bioconjugation apploications. The maleimide group is one of the most widely used reactive handles in bioconjugation chemistry due to its high selectivity toward thiol groups under mild, aqueous conditions, forming a stable thioether linkage that resists hydrolysis and oxidation. SiR (SiR-6-COOH, 652Ex/674Em) is a far-red fluorescent dye that is bright, photostable, and cell-permeable, and it is fully compatible with standard Cy5 filter sets.
